As discussed within this week’s readings, getting to know your people is a critical part of becoming a successful manager. In two paragraphs, prepare a short bio and describe your short/long-term goals. Also, within the paragraphs, discuss what you expect to gain from this course to improve yourself, your role as a manager, and your organization.
I do not want to see a simple list, but expect to see analysis and its application within your organization
The discussion posting standards are listed in the course syllabus
Consider an organization you are part of or know well:
How would you describe the prevailing culture within this organization to a stranger that is not familiar with the organization?
Your team just hired an “All-star” to be join your team on a new project. Would this response be different if you were explaining the culture to this new hire that was joining your team? (Explain the reasons for either yes or no response)
The initial response to the discussion questions must be 250-350 words in length. You are expected to respond to at least two of your peers’ postings per discussion thread. I will ask follow-up questions or an extension of the dialogue. I expect you to provide a response to me; these follow-up questions from me do not count as your peer response requirement. Responses must be substantive to promote continued learning. These responses cannot be a simple one or two sentences or a “Good, bad, or I agree” posting; you must make a more in-depth reply. You should also make an effort to find a source to support your follow-up response. The intent is to post peer responses earlier in the week so that dialogue occurs and you maximize the learning.

Consider the area of focus, “student cheating”, and the associated impacts.
Respond to the following questions within your paper:
Are programs like Turnitin.com (Plagiarism-Checking Service) that are used for colleges and universities really necessary to identify possible “cheating”
Why do business students that understand and are taught about ethics and ethical decision-making have to still worry about “student cheating”?
Do you feel it is acceptable at times to “cheat” on a paper or exam?
How does “student cheating” relate to organizational issues?
The Short Paper should be 3–4 pages in length, 12-point font, Times New Roman font, and double-spaced. This page count does not include the title page, tables, graphics, or reference pages. Do not submit an abstract. In addition, submit the final copy as a .DOC or .PDF. This paper is in APA format. Due on Sunday at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Minimal Requirements for Case Study Responses:
Identify the key and underlying issues (This is not a simple listing, but more of an in-depth analysis on how these apply to the concepts and theories you have learned within this course)
Develop the key facts to support the issues (This will require some thought with the expectation that you will only list pertinent data)
Discuss the solutions to the questions and how to implement this to become more effective (This is an analysis of the problem within the paper; make efforts to support your solutions with references from the textbook, readings, or other sources)
Demonstrate that you understand the topic and data by linking the theories and concepts highlighted in the textbook with your paper response
